Stay Focused

What is getting in the way of me and my goals is long and hard work. Getting to where I want to be isn’t going to be an easy path and I understand that. Along that path there will be thousands of reasons and to why I should quit. There are thousands of reasons as to why it’s just more comfortable and safe to settle, to blend in with the crowd. There will always be someone more talented and more influential. That person is where they are because they are nicer than me, or richer than me. There are endless amounts of excuses that people would rather focus on instead of what they want to be doing. On my phone, my wallpaper is “Dream big, stay focused.” I have this as a constant reminder of who I am and where I will go. When I explain to people what I want to do I’ve been told I should chose something more realistic, or I should stop chasing a fantasy. I forgive these people for having such a small mindset. I like the idea of chasing a fantasy, of making sure it becomes my reality. I have to make sure to stay focused on the dream, to ignore all the comments that serve me no purpose. All those negative comments and thoughts are bumps in the road. Surround yourself with people who believe in your dreams and push you to succeed. Be that person for other people. Always dream big and stay focused on what’s important to you.
