On January 21 2018 I had the privilege to spend the day with powerful and courageous women and men who are constantly fighting for equality. There was so much love and passion in the stadium in which the march was held. People of all ages, gender, and races where there to support one another and to support those that couldn't be present.

This event was so moving and so beautiful to see how many other women and men supporting who I am. I'm beyond proud to say that I am a daughter of two Mexican parents who came to this country to give me opportunities that they never received. I'm proud to say that because of their hard work I am able to go to UNLV going for my masters in business. I am proud to be latina.

I am proud to be a woman. I'm grateful for women before me who fought like hell to give me the rights I have today. Women can achieve greatness. Women love, fight, and never give up. I am proud to look unlike what social media wants me to be. My beauty is not defined by the color of my skin or how thin my waist is and neither is yours. Women are tend to be put in boxes and if they don't fit into all those boxes it makes them less of a woman. Fuck. That. Being a woman doesn't have just one set definition. We create the kind of woman we want to be.

The past two years have sparked so much hatred in our country. But, it has also brought light to feminism, black lives matter, times up, #metoo, and so many more movements. Now, more than ever, is time to stand together to fight for respect, love, and equality. To fight hand in hand and to not let another unqualified bigot into the white house.
