For those of you who don’t know, I was born on June 2 1999 in Berkeley California. I lived in the Bay Area until I was about 4. Then my family and I moved around until we came to Las Vegas. I visited the Bay Area for a weekend for my cousins quinceanera when I was 10 and hadn’t returned since. I am now 18 years old and I went back to the Bay Area for the first time in eight years and it was like experiencing it for the first time.

A fact about me is that I love airports and airplanes. So getting on a plane to San Fran already put me in a good mood. We arrived in San Francisco at like 8:30 in the morning and the weather was BEAUTIFUL! I could see the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance and Alcatraz was beneath us. On our way to where we were staying, we stopped at Treasure Island which has THE BEST view of the bay!

That night, my cousins took me and my sister to Fisherman’s Wharf. You know as soon as we arrived I was looking for that clam chowder! Boudin is the SPOT to get clam chowder bread bowls, unfortunately it was closed when we got there but the chowder that I DID have was SO GOOOOOOD!

The second day was a full on tourist day! Our first stop was beautiful Sausilito! I’ve always wanted to visit Sausilito and it was so cute. There were so many cute shops and houses and it also has a great view of the Golden Gate bridge and San Francisco. We stopped at Lappert’s Ice Cream shop where I had some bomb cookies and cream ice cream!

If you want to get pictures with the Golden Gate behind you, go to Fort Baker. It’s a wonderful spot to take pictures and it’s not so crowded like other spots. Also you are close to the ocean and you might even see a little seal pop up and say hi!

Next stop was CHINA TOWN. This is the best and most inexpensive place to buy souvenirs so make sure you do your shopping here! My family and I ended up eating at Chinatown Restaurant and they had the best egg rolls!

On our fourth day in San Fran we explored Union Square aka the best place to go clothes shopping. If you want to take a pic with a Trolley Cart this is a good place to go!

Finally on our last day we went to Napa Valley! Napa is beyond gorgeous with their green hills and beautiful flowers. We visited a castle where they do tours and wine tasting. The castle was so beautiful and it’s in front of a forest that looks like you're in Twilight. It was honestly the best way to end the trip.

I fell in love with the Bay Area and all its beauty. I’ve spent most of my life in Vegas so seeing bridges and the ocean always leaves me speechless. I just kept saying “IT’S SO PRETTY HERE!” Everywhere I looked I was in awe at all the sights. There is so much to do and see in the Bay Area, I can’t wait to return!
